The Ohio’s Tate Murdering Macs Shirt turns one of the wildest recent college-football internet moments into a bold, instantly recognizable meme-style design.
The phrase plays off Tate Moore, better known as Ohio’s Tate, a Barstool Sports personality known for covering Ohio sports and taking on over-the-top challenges. His background and role covering Ohio State and other Ohio teams are detailed on his official Barstool Sports profile.
The reference took off after Ohio State’s dramatic September 12, 2026 game against Texas. Ohio State entered the fourth quarter ahead 23–3, but Texas scored 21 unanswered points to win 24–23, according to the official Ohio State game recap.
After the loss, Ohio’s Tate followed through on a challenge involving spending hours inside a McDonald’s and eating Big Macs to reduce his time there. Barstool later highlighted the stunt as a charity-related moment after Tate spent more than ten hours inside the restaurant. Barstool Sports covered the challenge here.
That ridiculous combination of Ohio football heartbreak, fast-food punishment, and internet humor gives the “Murdering Macs” phrase its punchline.
This design may appeal to Ohio college-football followers, Barstool fans, sports-meme collectors, and anyone who watched the story spread online.
It works especially well as a conversation-starting graphic for game days, watch parties, campus hangouts, tailgate-inspired outfits, or casual everyday wear. It can also make a funny gift idea for someone who follows Ohio football culture and understands the reference.
If one chaotic loss, a stack of burgers, and an internet challenge became part of your 2026 college-football timeline, the Ohio’s Tate Murdering Macs Shirt keeps the joke going.
Add it to your rotation and wear the moment while it’s still fresh.
